November Happenings--2016

We are already in to November.  This half of the year has flown by so fast.  Here is a little peek of what we did during the month of November.
1.  Mason wanted his bunk bed stacked so one Saturday, Casey did it.  He was so excited to sleep on top of his new beds.
2.  Casey teaching the boys a few golf techniques.
3.  Ry and Meg came over for Sunday dinner.  Mabel loves holding Blake.
4.  Blakey loves his Doc-A-Tot.  He falls asleep in it in any position.
5.  ELECTION TIME!!   I always feel the need to vote, since the prophet has asked us to as part of fulfilling our civic duty.  Although voting for a presidential candidate, this year, was not the easiest decision, I feel good about the decision I made.  God Bless America!!  I'm just grateful for the knowledge I have that no matter what happens, if I choose the right I will be able to be with my family forever!
6.  Our newly elected president and Blake share the same hair do.
7.  Blakey... growing way too fast.

8.  We took another vacation to St. George this month.  Casey went to Vegas to participate in a gun training course and I took the boys to St. George.
9.  The boys love going down their slide when there is snow on it.
10.  We put up our Christmas tree pretty early this year.  Mason was so excited to put the star on top of the tree.

11.  Happy Thanksgiving!!  We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family this year.  We had a delicious Thanksgiving spread completed with all the trimmings. After a yummy Thanksgiving dinner, we decorated gingerbread houses and then ate pie.  It was a great day!!  And Blakey looked so cozy in his sheepy outfit.

12.  The Mecham family annual grandchild party.  We ate a pizza dinner, made a Christmas craft, and broke a piñata.  We always look forward to this party, it's always the start to our Christmas festivities.
13.  Blake loves holding his fingers.
14.  We took the boys (minus Blake) to the North Pole at Seven Peaks.  We had so much fun.  They boys loved every minute of it and it wasn't even crowded at all so we got to ride everything more than once.  After we rode the rides, we got to go visit Santa.  We had a great time.  We might even make this a new tradition.

November was a fun and busy month.  That seems to be the theme for months, weeks, and days lately.  We are looking forward to Christmas and celebrating Blakey's first Christmas.

Front Sight and St. George--2016

Casey got another opportunity to participate in a gun training course in Nevada so I took the boys to St. George.  Here is a recap of our week.
Sunday, November 13, 2016--Casey left for Front Sight in Nevada.  The boys and I were so sad to have him leave.  It took awhile for me to even get Tanner to calm down (he's definitely a daddy's boy).  But after a little nap, we went over to my moms and ate dinner and things were looking up.  Our first night without Casey went great.  Everyone slept through the night.  Mason slept in my room with me in our bed.
Monday, November 14, 2016--Everyone was really missing Casey, come Monday morning, but I did my best to keep us on our schedule so we'd hopefully have a great day.  We went down to the shop and ate lunch with mom (dad, Daniel, and Jared also went to Front Sight).  Then it was home for naps.  Monday evening mom, Mer, Garrett, Stacy and her boys, and Mason, Tanner, Blake, and I met up at Taco Amigo in Pleasant Grove. We had a great time!!  Our second night without Casey went great.
Tuesday, November 15, 2016--We woke up and went to Lehi Bakery with mom.  We got some of their delicious square donuts for breakfast. Then the boys and I spent all day at the church setting up for my RS activity.   By the time we spent 3 hours over there, the boys were done!  We came home, at lunch, and took naps.  That evening, we went over to moms and ate dinner with mom, Myrna, and Garrett.  Our third night without Casey didn't go as well.  I think everyone was really missing Casey by this time.
Wednesday, November 16, 2016--Woke up early and got everything packed and drove down to St. George with mom.  The boys did so good on the ride down, and I had a great time driving down with mom.  When we got to St. George, mom and I did a little bit of shopping.  After shopping we drove to the condo and unloaded our stuff.  After unloading we met up with Amy and Lin (who had just gotten home from Disneyland).  Mom and I went and got Poncho and Lefty's for dinner and we ate it at Clair's condo with Amy and Lin.  We had a fun time hearing all about their fun Disneyland vacation.  Mom and I went back to our condo and put the boys to bed.
Thursday, November 17, 2016--We woke up, ate breakfast, then met Amy, Ry, Lin, Meg, Stace and all the kids at a fun children's adventure park in St. George.  This park was so fun and hardly anyone there.  The kids loved playing on all the fun toys.  The park even had a small train that took you on a ride around the park.
After the park we took the kids to a McDonalds Playplace.  After the Playplace we went back to our condo.  That night we met up and ate Costa Vida for dinner at Clair's condo.  After dinner mom and I went back to the condo and put the kids to bed. Later that night Casey got home from Front Sight.  It was so fun to see him!!  Casey did so good at Front Sight.  He took a rifle class where he learned all about shooting his AR gun.  Casey even graduated as one of the top members of his class (Distinguished Graduate GD).  I'm so glad he got to go to Front Sight and that he had a great time!! We sure are glad to have our daddy back though.
Friday, November 18, 2016--We all met up at Pioneer Park and hiked around for a bit. Mason and Tanner loved hiking around with all their friends.  After hiking, we all went back to our own condos for lunch and for naps.  We took the boys bikes, so after lunch the boys rode their bikes around in the church parking lot that is right behind the condo.
After riding bikes the whole family, except Myrn and Garrett, who couldn't make it on this trip, met up at the St. George city pool.  We swam and swam.  The pool was perfect for kids of all ages.  Everyone had a great time swimming.  After swimming we said goodnight and headed back to our condo.  We had Café Rio for dinner and Nielson's Custard for dessert.
Saturday, November 19, 2016--We woke up, got the condo cleaned, got things packed up and ready to head home.  For lunch we met at Clair's pool house and ate pizza.  Then it was time for good-byes and we headed home.
We had such a fun second trip to St. George.  I always love going with family.

Blake at 3 Months Old

I can't believe that Blakey is already 3 months old.  He's growing way too fast and I'm ready to have my newborn baby back.  Although he's growing more and more everyday, he's growing into the cutest little guy.  Here are 10 things about Blakey at 3 months old.
1.  Blake is smiling and starting to laugh.
2.  Blake is occasionally rolling from his tummy to his back.
3.  Blake eats about 5-6 bottles a day of 4 oz. each.
4.  Blake is wearing 3-6 month clothes.  I tried to push his 0-3 month clothes out a little longer, but had the sad realization that he's just getting too big for them.
5.  Blake loves watching his older brothers.
6. Blake takes 2-3 morning napes and 3-4 afternoon nap including a big 3 hour nap from 2-5.
7.  Blakey is the sweetest baby.  He loves being held and snuggled.
8.  Blake sleeps about 8-10 hours a night.
9.  Blake is beginning to get a few bald spots, but his hair is still awesome.
10.  Blakey loves his binky, bottles, and his mom.
We love our little Blakey Bear!

October Happenings--2016

October was such a fun and busy month for our little family.  Here is a little of what we were up to during the month of October.
1.  Mason loves looking at picture books of family.  I have put together about 5 of them and he loves looking at them.  This book, was given to us by Mryn and Garrett of their wedding.  One night when I went and check in on Mason he had fallen asleep by it.
2.  Blake at 8 weeks old.
3.  Mason recently stopped taking naps during the day.  I find him still trying to sneak a nap in every once in a while still.
4.  My cute little boys.  Blake at 2 months old.  One Sunday morning Mason said, "mom, come take our picture with Blakey."  Mason and Tanner sure love our little Blake.
5. That hair.  It's getting so long!
6.  One day I took the boys to Target to look at Halloween costumes.  Mason found this mask he loved.
7. Mason and Tanner in Tanner's crib.  They sure are silly together.  And I had to add Blakey too.
8.  Blakey
9.  Our little family took a family vacation to St. George.  We had so much fun.  I can honestly say it was probably one of the better vacations we had been on since we have had kids.
10.  Mason had his primary program.  He did so good.  I was so proud of him. He even got up in front of everyone and gave his little speech part. I'm still upset that I didn't get a picture of him on his special day, but I did get this picture of his glow sticks that grandma gave him for doing such a great job.  Mason had put them all together one night and placed them on the spare bed in his bedroom.
11.  Those hands!!
12. I'm in trouble with this one.  Tanner is often quite the handful.  I'd be lying if I said he never pushed my buttons.  This day, was one of those days.  I thought Tanner was eating his lunch, but really he was smearing his yogurt all throughout his hair.  For some reason this boy has a faddish of smearing stuff through his hair, but yogurt definitely tops the cake.
13.  We invited Chris and Roz to do the Haunted Lift Ride at Sundance with is. It was a beautiful night.  We had a great time.  Mason (who fell asleep half way through the ride) rode with Chris and Roz while Tanner and Blake rode with Casey and me.  We had a great time.  We always look forward to this tradition.
14.  Casey's work got tickets to a Jazz game.  We went to dinner with his work chums at some Chinese restaurant, then headed to the game. The Jazz played the Lakers.  We had a great time.  It was the first time I had left Blakey so I was eager to get home after being gone from him for about 6 hours, but we sure had a great time while we were away.

15.  My little cowboy and Indian all dressed up for Halloween.  We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year.  It was especially fun to have Blakey here to celebrate too.  We started our celebrating with a Trunk or Treat with Casey's family.  We had another Truck or Treat with my family too.  We spent Halloween night trick or treating around our neighborhood and going to Mryn and Garrett's for a fun Halloween party.  I've always hated Halloween, but having kids to celebrate with makes it so much fun and I actually look forward to Halloween.

16.  We love going to Casey's work and driving the golf carts around.  The boys love looking for golf balls to collect.  We have quite the collection forming.  We also like to look for the deer that hide in some of the trees and bushes on the course.  We love Casey's job and we feel so blessed that even a year later, he still LOVES it!
17. Carving pumpkins is always a fun tradition.  The boys loved lighting them up and watching them glow in the dark outside.

18.  Blakey in his pumpkin Halloween costume.
19.  Celebrating CJ's birthday.  Mason found this slinky that he'd wrap around him and say, "look at my beautiful scarf."
20.  Blakey...before and after bath

21.  One day a hot air balloon landed on the golf course at Casey's work.  Casey sent this picture to the boys because they love hot air balloons.
22.  Right before Halloween the Mecham family all met up at Jaker's Pumpkin Patch. We had fun playing in the corn pit, sliding down the tube slides, and going on a hay ride being pulled by a tractor.  Such a fun night!!
We had a fun and busy October.  We love this time of year!
