August Happenings-2017

August here we come.  We kicked off the last month of summer with lots of fun, fun, and more fun.  Here is a little of what we were up to during the month of August.
Our sleeping little Blakey Bear
Mason and Tanner took their first round of swimming lessons at Casey's work.  Meghan is their swim teacher and she is awesome.  I'm so impressed to how far each of them have come in their swimming this summer.  We also did lots of swimming at Casey's pool this month.  The pool closes soon and we wanted to make sure we swam in it a lot before the end of summer.

Blake is always fun to take to the store and try hats on him.

The MTC (missionary training Center) added on some new buildings and opened it up to the public for tours.  It hadn't changed much since Casey was at the MTC getting ready to go to Samoa on his mission.  Myrn and Garrett and Ry and Meg came with us. We had fun listening to their mission stories as we toured the MTC.  We even got a picture of the famous missionary map.

Cute little Blake
On August 9th our little Blake turned 1.  He didn't seem too happy about turining1 and neither did I, but he's the cutest little guy and were extra grateful for this healthy boy who is part of our family.  We took Blake to Build a Bear and let him pick out a birthday bear.  Garrett and Blake share a birthday so it was fun to celebrate with grandma and grandpa and Myrn and Garrett.  Happy first birthday Blakie Bear, we love you!

I think this summer we wore Tanner right out.  I found him taking a lot of naps.

Amy invited us to Nickle City for Bud's birthday.  It was so much fun and the kids loved being with their best friends.
We went to the Riverwoods and let the kids play in the splash pad.  Casey held Blake and let him play in the water.  Blake loved every minute of it and laughed and laughed.  Such fun memories.
Blake smelling a stinky sock.
Park and popsicles with cousins.
Casey's Utah Open falls in the middle of August.  During the Utah Open Casey took us mini golfing.  The boys love it and its a great way to break up the 19 hour days that Casey works during the Utah Open.
Mason started preschool.  His teacher is Mrs. Holly and he gets to go to school with his cousins Mabel and Ashley. It's going to be a great school year.

School starting officially means our summer is over.  We had a great summer and now were excited for Fall.
