June Happenings-2016

Summer is here and we couldn't be more excited.  Here is a little of what we did during the month of June.
At the beginning of Summer we got to babysit Amy and Jared's kids while Amy and Jared were gone to their annual Sons of Helamen camp.  Mason and Tanner loved spending every minute with their friends. "Look mom, were off to save the world!"--Mason
"Look mom, were riding on the carousel"--Mason
Our summer also started out with the Orem Summerfest.  Casey and I, along with Ry and Meg, mom and dad, and Myrn and Garrett, took the kids to the carnival on Thursday night.  They had so much fun riding a few of the rides.  We continued celebrating on Saturday with our tradition of going to mom and dads to watch the parade.  Mom made a delicious dinner of tacos.  Everything tasted so yummy.  After dinner we watched the parade.  Mason and Tanner loved the police motorcycles and the big trucks.  After the parade we tubed the boys and got them in their pajamas to watch the fireworks.  We had such a fun weekend celebrating the Orem Summerfest.

Amy and I took the kids to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point.

My birthday was our next fun thing we did in June.  My birthday was on a Saturday this year, so Casey was able to be home from work.  Casey surprised me by taking me and the boys to the Aquarium.  We saw all different kinds of ocean animals.  The boys loved every minute of it and I loved being with my little family for my birthday.  After the Aquarium we met mom, dad, Myrn, and Garrett at The Pie Pizzeria for lunch.  After lunch we quickly drove down to Springville for Casey's grandma's 90th birthday party.  The boys were so tired they fell right to sleep on the way there.  After the birthday party mom, dad, Myrn, and Garrett came over for ice cream.  Casey got me my favorite--ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.  I had a wonderful birthday.  I'm so grateful for Casey who always makes my birthday a special day for me.

Casey took Mason to see Finding Dory.  It was a late night showing, but Mason loved it so much that he stayed awake the whole time.  He also loved the snacks Casey bought him--popcorn and a large drink.

Evening bike ride.  Mason learned how to pedal his bike this summer and he loves riding it, especially going on bike rides with Daddy.
Eating popsicles after swimming in their new shark pool we bought them.
Tanner with his new sunglasses.
We went to the air show with Myrn, Garrett, Grandpa, Grandma, and Linny.  We had such a great time.  The boys loved every minute of what they were awake for:)

June was such a great and fun month.  Now we are on into July already.

May Happenings--2016

Here is a little of what we were up to during the month of May.
For FHE one night we took the boys on a hike up Bridalveil Falls.  The boys loved throwing rocks in the water and crossing the river to hike up the waterfall.

Casey and the boys at the end of one of Casey's softball games.  We love going to watch Casey play softball!!

Swinging on our new playset.
Mason, Tanner, and Casey sitting on the deck watching a storm roll in.
Ryan and Meg invited us over for a little BBQ in their fire pit.  We roasted hot dogs then had samores.  It was a fun evening spent with family.

Ry graduated from UVU with a bachelors in Construction Management.  We are so proud of him and all his hard work he put into graduating.  Meg through Ry a graduation party.  Complete with hotdogs, salads, chips, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, and even a dunk tank.  The water was freezing in the dunk tank, but Mason and Tanner wanted to get in anyways.  Surprisingly enough, they both loved it.
Eating popsicles on the deck.  I LOVE these little boys!!
Mason wasn't feeling well one day, so I let him lay down for his nap on my bed.  I layed down by him and loved every minute of taking a little rest right next to him.
Mason completed his first level of swimming lessons.  Ashley and Mason took them together and they both did so great.  Mason learned how to:  jump in the water and kick his legs back to the top of the water, bob, chicken-airplane-solider, float on his back, blow bubbles under water, and hold his breath under water.  Mason did so great.  I loved taking him to swimming lessons and watching him learn new things.
Tanner helping daddy mow the lawn.  We've loved having green lawn and a fenced in backyard so the boys can run and play outside.
That's a wrap.  Now onto summer.

April Happenings--2016

Our April started out with some exciting news.  We found out that another BOY would be joining our family in August.  Casey and I were so thrilled to find out and we can't wait to meet this sweet little baby boy.
Sunday dinner at mom and dad's house.  We are so lucky to live so close to family.  Mason and Tanner sure do love all their cousins!!

I'd been craving Baskin Robins ice cream, so Casey went and got me some one night.  He also got some for himself.  The boys loved sharing daddy's ice cream with him.
Casey's dad was in charge of their ward father and son's outing.  Casey took Mason and Tanner to it.  They ate a yummy dinner, let the boys throw rocks in the water, then came back home.  Mason and Tanner had a great time!

Casey had to work one weekend in April.  He worked pretty much all night.  When he got done with working such a busy week, we decided to take the boys to Lowe's Extreme Air Sports.  Mason and Tanner were in complete heaven.  They had so much fun!!

During that busy week that Casey had to work all night long, the boys and I hung out.  We watched movies and ate popcorn until way past bedtime.

One night for family night we took the boys to Wal-Mart to ride the little Big Bird airplane.  Mason and Tanner loved every minute of it.
Building Lego's at grandma and grandpas house.
Casey started his softball season again.  They boys love to wear their matching baseball shirts to the game like daddy.
Our 2016 annual hot dog roast.
Tanner learned about Nephi building a boat in nursery.  He loved riding in this cute little boat that his nursery leaders made.
The boys love to go to grandpa's old work, Flowserve, and feed the ducks.
Tub time!!
We had a fun April full of lots of fun and exciting activities.
