Disneyland--2017

Our family trip to Disneyland was pure magic.  Taking my own little family to Disneyland, after going their many times as a kid, was a dream come true.  Here is all the details of our trip.
Sunday, April 23, 2017-Mason had been throwing up the day before and all night.  I thought for sure we'd have to cancel our trip that we had planned on for several months.  By the time Sunday morning rolled around, Mason said he felt much better.  I kept the boys home from church and just Casey went.  I didn't want Mason to spread what he had and I didn't want him to get any other form of the flu.  After Casey got home we went over to mom and dads and we were on the road to St. George.  Mason rode with mom and dad the entire time while Tanner and Blake rode with Casey and me.  The boys did great on the drive down.  We took one stop in Beaver, used the bathroom and fed Blake and we were on the road again.  We arrived in St. George around 8:30.  We fixed a delicious dinner of Spaghetti then put the kids to bed and went to bed.  Casey made the boys some beds on the floor, but Casey ended up sleeping on the floor by Tanner and Mason slept in the bed by me.  All three boys slept great.
Monday, April 24, 2017-We woke up around 5:30 and were on the road by 6 in the morning.  I thought the boys would go straight back to sleep, but they were too excited and stayed awake the rest of the morning.  We drove through Vegas and stopped in a small town called Primm.  We ate breakfast at a McDonald's.  After breakfast we got the boys out of their pajamas and into their regular clothes and we were on the road again.  Tanner really wanted to ride with mom and dad so Casey switched his carseat over.  I was a little nervous for Tanner to ride in a different car from Casey (Tanner is pretty attached to Casey), but Tanner ended up doing great. Victorville.  We filled up the cars with gas and ate lunch at a little restaurant called Baker's.  After lunch we were on the road again.

We rode for a few more hours and made another stop in
Casey and I followed closely behind mom and dad the entire time, especially as we started into California and had to get off on several different exits, but somehow we got separated and mom and dad got off on an exit that we didn't get off on.  We had to get off on another exit, get back on the freeway, then get off the right exit and we finally found mom and dad.  We continued to follow close behind them in the crazy California traffic until we got to the beach.
We went to Balboia Beach in Newport Beach.  The beach was beautiful.  They had homes right next to the water and to get to their house they'd have to drive a boat to their home to get there.  The docks were also filled with so many boats.  When we arrived at the beach we parked the cars, got the boys in their swimming suits, and headed down to the water.  When we got about 15 feet from the water Mason ran away crying.  He didn't like the loud sounds of the waves crashing.  I went and got him and took him down to the water and he ran away again crying.  I finally convinced him to come and build in the sand with me.  After about 10 minutes of building in the sand I got Mason to come down to the water with me.  He realized that it wasn't that scary after all.  We played in the water, built sand castles, buried the boys in the sand, and played some more in the water.  After a little while mom looked out in the water and saw two whales in the water blowing water through their blow holes.  A few minutes later we look about 50 feet from where we were sitting, and saw a seal that was up on the beach.  We think he was trying to get away from the whales we saw.  We walked right up to the seal and watched him move around on the sand for a bit.  After watching the seal we finished playing in the sand.  Tanner soon fell in the water and was cold and wet so we packed up our stuff and decided to head back to the cars so we could go find our hotel.

Our hotel was about 20 minutes from the beach.  We found our hotel and unpacked the cars.  Then mom and dad went back to get Myrn and Garrett at the airport while Casey and I fed the boys and put them to bed.  Mom, dad, Myrn, and Garrett brought back Wendy's for dinner.  Then it was off to bed for our first big day of Disneyland tomorrow.
Tuesday, April 25, 2017--Our fist day in Disneyland was pure magic.  We woke up early, got ready for the day, then headed down to breakfast.  After eating breakfast we headed to DISNEYLAND.  Casey, Dad, and Garrett dropped mom, Myrn, me, and the boys off at the loading dock and the boys went and parked the cars while us girls and the kids checked our bags in and headed into Disneyland.  I'll never forget the boys' pure excitement when we entered into the park.  As we walked in we saw Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Minnie Mouse.  The boys couldn't believe it.
We first went and found the Baby Center (which was a life savor to heat up Blake's bottles).  We waited their for the boys to come then we headed to our first ride,,,Pirates of the Caribbean.  Mason sat on the front row with grandpa and Garrett.  I held Blake (who fell asleep) and Casey held Tanner.  Mom and Myrn sat in the back.  The boys were in complete astonishment.  Every part of the ride was a thrill for them.  After pirates it was the Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh (a couple of times), then back to the Baby Center for lunch.  We took in our own lunches to save on money.  The sandwiches we packed were delicious.  It was soon after lunch that Blake and Tanner fell asleep.  We rode on Thunder Mountain then, when Tanner woke up, we went into Fantasy Land and rode on the Carousel and Dumbo.  Every ride was so exciting for the boys.  Mason was especially fun to take on rides.  He would put his hands up the entire time on every ride.
We also rode Autopia, and Buzz Lightyear.  By this time it was about 8:00 and time to walk out of the park and go get dinner.  We walked to McDonald's.  On our walk Mason fell asleep in the stroller.  He slept all through dinner and when I tried to wake him up he cried and cried, so Casey and I decided to leave the park and go back to the hotel so we could get another early start the next morning.  That night the boys slept great.  They slept through the entire night.  They were well rested for the next morning.

Wednesday, April 26, 2017--We woke up early again hoping to use our early Magic Morning pass to go to California Adventure.  After we arrived an hour earlier before the park opened, we found out we couldn't use our early morning pass to California Adventure, only in Disneyland.  As we were walking away from the early morning entrance, they closed it and opened it up for a regular entrance.  We hurried and pushed the strollers over and we got to be first in line for the park to open.  Soon they opened the gates.  Myrn and Garrett went and got Fastpasses to the new Cars ride and I went and bought Blake a new hat so he wouldn't get sunburned.  Then we met up at the Baby Center.  Casey fed Blake while the rest of us took the boys on Mator's Junkyard Jamboree ride.  Mason and Tanner loved it.  They laughed the entire time.  We also rode the Zephyer, Ferris Wheel, Midway Mania, we went into Bugs land and rode all the rides in there.  They boy's favorite was a lady bug ride that spun you round and round.  They loved it so much they rode it three times.  We also rode Monster's Inc, then went over to Car's Land and rode Radiator Racers about 5 times.  While we were over there we ate lunch while Tanner and Blake napped for about 3 hours.  Mason loved Radiator Racers.  Seeing the joy on his face while riding that ride brought tears to my eyes.  I loved seeing him light up with pure joy on his face.  Mason and Tanner also got to see Mator and Lighting McQueen.  Myrn and Garrett took Tanner on Luigi's tires while the rest of us rode Sorin' over the World.  Mason also loved this ride, then Casey and I ended the night by taking Tanner and Blake on Little Mermaid while the others went on Sorin' one last time.  We stayed until the park closed, then we went and got pizza for dinner and headed back to the hotel to eat it.  The boys went straight to bed.  They were so exhausted from such a fun day.
Highlights:  Watching Mason ride Radiator Racers, Tanner loving Mator's Junkyard Jamboree, and Blake loving The Little Mermaid, eating popcorn with Tanner, seeing Car's Land for the first time, and seeing Car's land all lit up at night.

Thursday, April 27, 2017--Our last day in Disneyland.
I'm so glad we did three days in Disneyland.  Our third day ended up being my most favorite day.  We woke up and got ready for the day so we could make it to the park early.  We had such a great day riding all of our favorite rides one more time.  We rode Splash Mountain about 5 times in a row.  Tanner loved riding Winnie the Pooh while Mason rode Splash Mountain (Tanner wasn't quite tall enough).  At lunch time we went to our lunch spot and ate lunch.  Throughout the day Mason and Tanner both fell asleep while riding It's A Small World.  Tanner took about a 3 hour nap.  While the boys napped, Casey and I rode Space Mountain, Matter Horn, and Star Wars.
By the time the boys woke up we decided to head over to get some dinner.  We decided to eat our last dinner in the park.  Casey got chicken strips and I got my beloved chili bowl.
We ended the night with one last ride on Thunder Mountain. It was the perfect night to such a perfect trip!!
After our last ride we took the boys to choose out a souvenir.  Mason chose some Cars tub toys, Tanner chose a Baymax stuffed animal, and Tanner chose some Mickey tub toys.  After choosing our souvenirs we went and found the perfect spot to watch the Main Street Electrical Parade.  Watching the boys light up watching the parade was the BEST part of the entire trip.  We got our last churro of the night and watched the parade.  It was magical!
We left the park that night with tears in our eyes.  This Disneyland trip was better than I ever could have imagined.
Highlights--Tanner almost falling asleep by the Corn Dog station at lunch time.  Mason loving Thunder Mountain, Mason loving Splash Mountain, getting to ride Winnie the Pooh with Tanner, and the Main Street Electrical Parade.

Blake at 8 Months Old

It seems that Blake growing a month older just keeps coming faster and faster.  In just 4 short months he will be one and I can hardly believe it.
Here are 8 things about our Blakey Bear at 8 months old:
1.  Blake is a great sleeper.  Takes 2 naps a day and sleeps through the night.
2.  He is an okay solid food eater, but definitely prefers his bottle.
3. Learned how to sit up.
4.  Prefers his binky in up-side down.
5.  Loves mom and dad.
6.  Loves his brothers.
7.  Is found always smiling.
8.  Still has a head full of the blondest hair!

We love you Blake!!
